howdy folks - i have not been on here in quite a while. but i wanted to thank you all for your comments on the song i wrote with rob morsberger. soon, this record will me finished up and mixed and on sale. i will post a link so you can down load it if you want to. there are 10 really great tunes on this baby. rob does incredible string arrangements and his piano playing is over the top fabulous. when there is more news of that, i will post you. the record will be called “midnight garden.” best lyrics i’ve ever written, by the way, if i do say so myself. best lyrics by a long shot. i’m delighted. there is another incomplete crash test dummies record laying around, but i’m having trouble getting it done, as my partner/producer stewart lerman is swamped with movie soundtrack work. the music business is dead and there’s no way someone like him can make any money on bands, as he used to, so now most of his stuff is soundtrack stuff. and patty smith, come to think of it. he’s a heavy hitter, and even got a grammy for a soundtrack in a martin scorcesse film. in any case, it’s nice to be able to release “midnight garden” in the meantime. i’m also slowly chipping away at another mantra record. i know some of you think i’ve gone koo-koo, singing mantras, but the record is undeniably unique and very powerful. you should ALL GO BUY IT at rajanaka-mantra.com. i am also doing a third draft of my novel, whose working title is A Man Called Pigface. stewart lermans wife, suzzy roche, just put out a novel for the first time called Wayward Saints. i highly recommend it. anyhow, she read and critiqued my book it for me, so i’m going to plunge back in. i’m also going to take the business of getting it published more seriously. in the meantime, i have been researching a new novel about the psychological impact on peoples lives who believe that they have been abducted by aliens. don’t worry, i don’t think ET is here to cart me off to an inter-stellar slave race! it’s a whacky topic, and i’m whacked, so i think i can pull it off. i’ve picked up my camera again for the first time in a couple of weeks, and have some great shots of the sky line in nyc. i will post them soon. in the mean time, here’s one for now. hope this find you all well…bard
